Tree planting on Mt. Rokko Saturday 2^nd March 2019 (or Sunday 3rd March in case of bad weather on 2nd)

Let’s do something to give back to the nature that we so enjoy to spend time in!

On Saturday 2^nd March, the NPO Peace and Nature is organising a tree-planting event on Mt. Rokko.

Let’s help them in their goal to revitalise the forest by planting 30 indigenous trees, including wild cherry and Japanese maple.

Meeting place: Hankyu Okamoto Station

Meeting time: 9:00 a.m.

Schedule: 

      9:00 Meet up (Hankyu Okamoto Station)

      10:30 Arrive at P&N Mt. Rokko forest work area

      11:00-13:00 Tree planting (lecture & activity) and lunch

      14:00 Finish (Hankyu Okamoto Station)

Please bring: picnic lunch, drink, small tarp to sit on, work gloves, towel, change of clothes, water bottle containing water to feed to the trees. (men 1L ; women 500 ml)

Please wear: Hiking shoes and warm clothes, including long sleeves and long pants appropriate for contact with trees.

Cost for participation is 1,000 yen. This fee is for Peace and Nature and NOT for IOC and will include event insurance.

Postponement policy:

The event will take place in the case of light rain (decided at 7:00 on event day)

In case of heavier rain, it will be postponed to Sunday, March 3^rd.
