New Year's Day Sunrise Hike

How about getting up early to hike up Mt. Maya and watch the first sunrise of 2019 from the top?

Meet at Hankyu Ojikoen Station east exit at 4:00 a.m.

It will take about two hours for us to reach the top of Mt. Maya (698.6 m). We can eat breakfast while we wait for the sun to rise just after 7:00, then enjoy a leisurely hike down (about 90 mins).

Bring: hiking boots, warm clothing including hat and gloves, flashlight or head lamp, rain gear, small personal first-aid kit, breakfast and snacks for yourself, water, hot drink.

I will cancel this event if there is a strong possibility of rain.

Some train lines will be running all night on Dec. 31st/Jan 1st, but maybe not all. Please confirm your own transportation to Ojikoen Station before signing up.
