Date & Time (duration): May 4 (Thursday, Midori no Hi holiday), about 6 hours
(hiking time about 5 hours)

Location: Mount Maya (摩耶山)

Description of the event/course:
We'll hike up Mount Maya from behind, first hiking up Nunobiki (布引) and then following the Twenty-Cross Trail along the valley. This is a very leisurely ascent of about 700 meters. We'll have lunch either at Lake Hodaka (穂高湖) or on the top of Mount Maya. We'll then go down the steep trail, passing the ruins of the old temple, towards Hankyu Oji Koen or JR Nada station.

Meeting point and time:
Shin Kobe Station (新神戸駅), outside of the first floor, 9:30 am.
(This is the entrance floor to the station building, one floor down from the entrance/exit gates to the Shinkansen, and up from the entrance/exit gates to the subway.)
The best way to get there is to take the subway in Sannomiya for Shin Kobe, exit the subway in the direction of the Shinkansen line, and walk up till you reach ground level.
