Cherry blossom hike and live jazz picnic festival.

Where: Satsukiyama Park, Ikeda, Osaka

Enjoy a short (1.5 hr) easy hike & jazz picnic in Satsukiyama Park.

Meeting Point :  Hankyu IKEDA station, in front of the exit (just 1 exit)

Meeting Time :  10:30 a.m.

Hike up to Hinomaru Tenbodai‐observatory and come down to 五月山動物園‐ Satsukiyama

mini zoo and then head to 池田城跡公園 ‐ Ruins of Ikeda Castle park for lunch, where we can enjoy a live jazz event

from 13:00 until 15:00. 

Entry to the zoo is free of charge and optional.

The live jazz event is also free of charge. 

Music performers are mostly amateur but very good, and the atmosphere is great. 

Aside from a few soft drink vending machines, there are no foods or drinks available in the park, so please bring your own.

* There is almost no shades at the picnic/jazz site.

What to bring : lunch, drink, snack, hiking shoes, hiking clothing and rain gear, sunscreen, groundsheet and eating/drinking utensils.

There is a convenience store at the station and another, a 5-minute walk from the park.
