Let's Literally Ring in the New Year! Todaiji Temple’s Joya no Kane!
Join me to take part in Todaiji Temple's Joya no Kane. At Midnight on January 1st the great bell near Todaiji will be rung 108 times to dispel the 108 worldly desires.
Last year we got to ring the bell ourselves, 8 persons! Afterwards you can go to Todaiji Temple (free admission) for one of the few chances each year to see the Great Buddha's face through the window.

Next you can walk over to Kasuga-Taisha to celebrate Hatsumode together!
Finally you will disperse and take our various trains back home!
If you want sleep at BackPacker house 2,500yen, I will reserve for our group.
